Need Help with Food?

We understand that sometimes your food dollar is the last one spent. Rent, utilities, cab fare or fixing the car may have stretched your budget so thin that there’s nothing left to buy food with this month. We can help.

We run one of the largest, busiest food pantries in Wood County. During a pantry shopping trip, we typically provide about seven days’ worth of groceries. We work to keep the pantry well-stocked and try to offer many healthy food choices, including fresh vegetables.

You may be eligible to use the food pantry if …

  • You are part of a Wood County household with total income under 185 percent of the federal poverty level. (Find out about this level of income on a state of Wisconsin website by clicking here.)

  • You haven’t used this pantry within the last 30 days.

  • You can provide identification for each member of your household you’ll be shopping for.

If you have questions about pantry hours, your eligibility or the forms of ID needed, please call us at (715) 387-0395. Open five days per week, our centrally located food pantry is a busy place, but friendly volunteers guide pantry shoppers through the process. (Note that the pantry is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays and holidays.)
